The first censored cover?
In books and on homepages it can be read that this cover was the first 'hasty' attempt to cover up Alice's thumb,
not to be mistaking for 'something else'.
BUT... look closely! The photo used on the front has already been painted/censored !!!
So why first paint the picture and then afterward cover it up with those huge white borders too?
Notice also that the white "I'm Eighteen" banner do not appear on this cover!

I have now seen it twice on ebay described as the 'club' version....:

"This is the mail order ONLY/Record Club Edition cover version with the "thumb" cut off on the front cover!..."
If you have the story on this cover, I would be happy to post it!
Only known with the green WB label

At this moment I have no later Love It To Death US albums... but later covers has, as you probably are fully aware of,
the original cover design but with the thumb painted out, and the white "I'm Eighteen" banner included.
Among the labels are of course the WB green, Palm Tree and three - and Creme label.
