Notice that....
...in Canada, Alice's right arm have not been painted out, only his hand (and thumb).
Instead some of the black aera under his left hand has been painted with white dots.
...in the rest of the world Alice's right arm is painted away along with his right hand...
and instead he has got the tip of his pointing finger on his left hand added...!
So now instead of showing a 'big fat' (offending) thumb - Alice is now showing a 'little thin' (unoffending) pointing finger instead....!?!
